When I read....I thought....because...

This is a freebie idea that doesn't even require you to print a worksheet for your students. You can use your blackboard or whiteboard and one post-it note per student.

As an Instructional Coach, I visit many classrooms in our district of 41,000 students. This one is from Ginger's 3rd Grade classroom, but I can see it being used at many different grade levels.
The 3rd Grade Language Arts Common Core Standard states,"Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers."
