Multiplication Pattern: 6 times an Even Number

This is a pattern that I noticed as I was learning my multiplication facts MANY years ago;

When you multiply 6 times an even number
6 X 2
6 X 4
6 X 6
6 X 8
the tens digit in the product will be half the even number you multiplied

6 X 2 = 1
6 X 4 = 2
6 X 6 = 3
6 X 8 = 4
the ones digit in the product will be the same number you multiplied

6 X 2 = 12
6 X 4 = 24
6 X 6 = 36
6 X 8 = 48

I created this set of flashcards to practice this pattern
