It’s November and you just got a new student who speaks little to no English. Has this happened to you? For these students, it is important to get them some of that basic, needed vocabulary as soon as possible. I always say my ELLs need to know two things on their first day of English – 1. Can I go to the bathroom? 2. Can I have a pencil? This vocabulary packet works on the second question, and covers other key vocabulary words to help get our English Language Learners into the words they need in order to survive in the classroom.
