These sensory word-a-month posters will help them practice that skill. I've made one for each month.
When students come back from Thanksgiving break, have them do the turkey one for a Daily 5 "word work" activity. If they did not eat turkey, have them sub in another word.
Gingerbread is a popular theme for December. I pass out small Keebler cookies to munch on, before they work on their sensory sheet. I also graph their opinions.
