Let me take just a moment to tell you about myself (in case you missed my original post awhile back). I'm Heather - better known as HoJo - from HoJo's Teaching Adventures.
I currently teach 6th grade, but I've taught a variety of preK-5th grade positions in the past. I've enjoyed every one of them for different reasons! Kids are kids, no matter what size body they come in.
To celebrate reaching 5 million (yes, million!) pageviews - I want to share some of the earliest CF blog posts that I love.
The first is from Rachel Lynette of Minds in Bloom. This is an item I have used in my 4th and 5th grade classrooms. I really need to use this for 6th grade this year as well! It's a great little fact swapping activity that will work well for Common Core informational text activities. Click the picture to go and check it out.
I also want to share a great freebie for the younger grades since I've taught that level as well. Krissy over at Mrs. Miner's Kindergarten Monkey Business always some of the cutest ideas! This one is no exception. Krissy has made a fun, yet educational apple activity that asks students to listen, write, and draw while learning about informational text. You can't go wrong with that! Click on the picture below to go and check it out.
If you've stuck with me this far, thank you! I hope you enjoy all of the freebies here at CF as much as I do. Please leave a comment letting me know what your favorite freebie to date has been.
