We study penguins in October during our animal report unit, but I know January is all about the fun little birds for many of you so I'm bringing back this blast from the past freebie. I made patterns for the penguins, but have students personalize their penguins to represent the different breeds. The finished crafts are also great inspiration for writing workshop: nonfiction reports, point of view writing, how to survive in the cold... The possibilities are endless.
