The winter holidays present us with a chance to teach students about the similarities between multiple cultures. Light is a symbol that is important in many different winter holidays. This free play script covers the lights that are important in many holidays, from Christmas to Diwali to Kwanza to St. Lucia’s Day. Use this script and the simple headdress costumes as an in-class reader’s theater or as part of a larger school wide play.
