Quilt Squares with Right Triangles Part 2

Right now, I am sharing a series of art projects that I developed with upper elementary students to practice their geometry vocabulary.  In this project, I gave students a set of 3" X 3" construction paper squares and showed them how to create two sizes of right triangles, by cutting a diagonal line corner to corner.

Next they arranged the triangles back into squares and created the quilt squares pictured above.
