Making words and nonsense words is a part of the process of learning phonics. Unfortunately, many language learning students don't know the difference between real words and nonsense words. One way to help students work on this concept is by giving them pictoral examples of "real" words. This Making Words Literacy Center gives twelve possible real words for the ACK family. Students can match each picture to the appropriate word. Download this free literacy center from my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
