Is your class studying rocks and erosion? Here's a great performance task to see how well they understand how rocks are created and broken down. Have your students write two stories of the rock brothers - both written from the point of view of the rock. Story #1 is the story of Slow Sammy who changes very, very slowly. Story #2 is the story of Fast Freddie who changes very, very quickly. On my blog - Raki's Rad Resources - I have free downloadable brainstorming/ drafting sheets to guide your students through this project.
