April Poetry Activity: Tongue Twisters

April is poetry month.  Tongue Twisters are created with alliteration -- words that start with the same sound.

Tongue Twisters can be used to practice fluency and accuracy. I originally used this activity as a drama workshop warm up, but it works as a transition activity.

Here are a couple examples:

Ralph Rogers ran the racetrack in the rainstorm.
Lilly Llama loves licking lemon-lime lollipops.
