Are your students studying animals or animal adaptations? Here’s a handy Animal Adaptations chart your students can use to record the adaptations they find when researching animals. For each animal they list, they will need to record at least one way the animal is adapted to its environment, such as webbed feet for swimming.
An excellent website for animal research is A-Z Animals. They have over 450 animals described on the site, complete with color pictures and information about each animal’s habitat.
You can download the Animal Adaptations chart above from the Science page on Teaching Resources where you’ll find more great science resources!
