I’m something of a square peg in a round hole around the educational blogging circuit. I’m not a classroom teacher & that phase of my journey is quite some time ago now. Instead I contribute now as an author & illustrator of picture books based on original songs that I’ve written. My blogging journal consists of my creative process, school visits I make and my keynote & workshop presentations at conferences.
In thinking how I might be able to ‘contribute’ more in this forum, I realized that one thing we all have in common — is that we all have dreams. Some time back I compiled a list of quotations on dreams. I know that everyone that comes to this site has dreams. Dreams for your students. Dreams for your career. Dreams for your family. Dreams for your community. Dreams for your contribution. Dreams for your legacy.
I have the compilation of dream quotations waiting for you in pdf format over at my blog, under my freebies tab I believe that you’ll find the whole list of quotes uplifting and encouraging. Please enjoy this photo I took at the beginning of the summer. It was quite an amazing vision to see this incredible vessel emerge from the fog like setting — where sea and sky merged with little indication of horizon. It’s taken me a while to choose the quote to reinforce the image. I hope that it offers you encouragement. Enjoy.
Whatever your dreams, may you make progress toward them with each passing season. One of my biggest + genuine suggestions to fellow ‘dreamers’ is to write your dream down — with specifics. Then give it a deadline. Feel free to share your dream here with fellow dreamers — in the comment section. Just giving voice to your hopes and plans moves them forward. Is it a new degree? A new home? Joining Teachers Pay Teachers to share your unique ideas? Creating an amazing garden? Seeing the cover of your newest picture book adorned with a shiny gold sticker of acclimation & national recognition? Taking your picture book on a tour to European US Army bases to share with the children of our troops? Get moving, this weekend! Cheers!!
Share your dream. The world awaits.
