Most of us teach our students about making connections while reading, so you’ll enjoy this simple activity that combines a paper craft with a literacy lesson. Just have your students record their connections on slips of paper and link them together to create paper chains!
I created a free printable called Paper Chain Connections that can be used at any time of the year, and I also paired that activity with my “reading marathon” activity to create a lesson called Christmas Decoration Connections. This lesson would be a great way to spend the morning on your last day of school before the holidays! You can download the Paper Chain Connections printable here or visit my Corkboard Connections blog for more information about the free Christmas Decoration Connections activity.
