Every time I teach kids about history, I am reminded that they often have no frame of reference to understand what life was like during that time period. So, I started making “Time Machines” to help my students have a better understanding of the time periods we studied. For example, even if you are not studying anything regarding cars, it helps students to know if this was a time when people had cars, or if it was a time of horses and buggies. This 1940’s Time Machine takes kids back to the year 1940. I developed it when I was teaching kids about what life was like for Cesar Chavez as he was growing up. It is also good for simply talking about World War II and that time period. Grab a free copy at my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
