Keeping Reluctant Writers Motivated

All Freebies

“I don’t know what to write about.”

It seems like we hear that much too often from our young writers. In spite of high expectations for self-selected topics for writing, some of our students still struggle each day to come up with an idea. Here’s a way to give a little assist, or just to provide some variety in your writing center for all of your students. These 8 character cards and 8 setting cards will mix-and-match into 64 unusual and often comical story starters.

An alien in your kitchen? A T-rex at a birthday party? Click on the cover to download yours now and let the writing begin!

Happy Teaching!
