4-In-A-Row games are a super fun and easy to assemble activity for your holiday literacy centers. All you’ll need is the game board itself and colored chips (10 of one color for each player). Players take turns reading a word and placing their chip on the word. The first player to get four of their colored chip in a row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally) wins the game! Player must be sure to block their opponent while still trying to get their chips in a row.
Here’s a St. Paddy’s Day game board if your students are learning and practicing common vowel teams.
