Hi, Teaching Friends!
Are you getting ready to teach about weather this spring? This set of vocabulary word cards covers many of the most-taught concepts. Use them for whole class teaching on the interactive white board, small group review, center activities, or your class writing center. Younger students would benefit from a matching game: print two sets, cut only one apart, and have your little learners match the cut cards to the board. You might even print two copies, each on a different color of pastel cardstock, for an easy-to-make memory game! One more literacy-related idea: put three cards out and give a clue like, “It’s a kind of precipitation and it rhymes with brain“… or starts like rug, or has one syllable, or has a silent vowel,…endless review possibilities as the students examine the options and use their literacy knowledge to choose the correct card!
