By now, you’ve gotten to know your students and you’re beginning to settle into a routine. One of my favorite routines is our morning meeting. It is such a sweet way to start each day and it gives everyone a chance to press the “reset” button if something rotten has happened between our alarm going off and walking in the door to our room.
At least once a week, I like to read a book during our morning meeting that connects to an issue we’re dealing with in the classroom.
Recently, we read Julia Cook’s Soda Pop Head and I made some follow-up activities to go along with it! Hop on over to my blog to grab your copy!
