Here’s a quick, easy and fun little packet that covers quite a few Common Core standards in an interesting way.
Students read the simple sentences (lots of Dolch & word wall words here), fix the beginning capitalization, then add end punctuation.
Using a matching crayon or marker, they trace, write and color the color words, then color the leaf.
When everyone is done, read the booklet as a whole group to review concepts of print, while checking answers.
A graphing extension and worksheet are also included as well as a spinner game, with coloring page.
Because some students may find it hard to believe that there really are purple and pink leaves, I’ve included a few nature photos to share.
