I think it’s extremely important to plug in a few things on Veteran’s Day. (It’s November 11th). I know we all have a zillion things to accomplish in a short amount of time, but if you do a little something within a block that’s already part of your day, then it’s certainly do-able.
To help you out, I made a big Veteran’s Day – themed packet with all sorts of writing prompts and quick craftivities, that cover a variety of standards.
If you have an alphabet center, then plug in this camouflaged alphabet card game.
Are you reviewing numbers, or have math centers? Then use these “military math” cards.
The number puzzles, review numbers 1-10, counting backwards from 10 to 1, as well as skip counting by 10’s to 100.
If 2D shapes are part of your day, your kiddos will enjoy this military-themed shape game.
Click on the link and pop on over to my blog, to grab all of the Veteran’s Day Craftivities.
