Do you have a gingerbread theme going on for December? It was one of my Y5’s favorites.
With that in mind, I designed all sorts of gingerbread math activities, using a gingerbread house theme that I think your kiddos will enjoy.
Your students can sort odd and even, skip count by 2’s, 3’s, 5’s and 10’s, and play all kinds of math games with number cards from 0-125. (For more options, I’ve included math symbol cards to make equations.)
There’s also activities for students to practice the format of writing an address, or working on memorizing their own.
Work on numbers and number words with the traceable pocket number cards. Print off extra sets to make puzzles and games like Memory Match and “I Have; Who Has?”
I’ve included mini gingerbread house manipulatives for more counting games.
Children can also practice addition & math with the gingerbread fact family houses.
