Here’s a fun January writing prompt for your students to do when they return from their Christmas break.
Students pick a partner and take turns tracing each others hand on the writing prompt page. Children add the new year date on the finger portion, color and decorate their hand print. For that finishing touch, I used flat-backed jewels for my “rings” on my sample.
Students finish the writing prompt: “I made these resolutions and I’m trying to keep them . . .”
Completed projects make a sweet January bulletin board.
