Rip & Tear Snowman Craftivity

All Freebies

Rip and tear activities are a super-fun way to help children strengthen their finger muscles and develop coordinated fine motor skills.

Completed projects look like a mosaic and make lovely bulletin board or hallway displays.
I keep the patterns small, so they don’t take that much time.  My Y5’s really enjoyed this activity and were very proud of the results.

I set this up as an independent center.  To keep my strips of construction paper neat and organized I slide the various colors through the slats of plastic baskets.  Children choose their colors without making a big mess.

I challenge them to see if they can keep things tidy and they always do a wonderful job! 🙂
