Even young children can help care for the earth. Empower them with a list of easy things that they can do, like not being a litterbug, or simply turning the water off while they’re brushing their teeth.
This quick, easy and fun “I can make a difference!” writing prompt “craftivity” will help reinforce that idea. The packet includes several ways students can put their Earth Day “dangler” together.
Older students write a list of ways that they reduce, reuse, and recycle on the back of the “I can make a difference!” square. Younger students can glue the heart-shaped earth on the back and dictate/write a sentence of how they can protect the planet.
I’ve also included a certificate that acts as a promise-pledge for them to do their part. There’s one for a girl as well as a boy, and come in black line so they can color them.
