Here’s a quick, easy & fun “Counting down to Christmas” craft.
Counting backwards is one of my report card standards, so doing craftivities like this, really help my little ones wrap their heads around the concept of “time passing”.
The passage of time, is a rather abstract idea for most of them, so having a visual is truly helpful.
Make a single one for your class and have a different child glue a
cotton ball to the appropriate number each day, using a glue dot. I do this during our calendar time.
You can also run off a Santa for each student and set this up as a daily center on a TV tray.
I bought a few packages of cotton balls at The Dollar Store.
