I like to have my kiddos do some sort of January craftivity the last few days of school, before Christmas break, so that we don’t come back to bare hallways.
This quick, easy and fun name stacker craft is perfect. I use them to decorate our lockers, but you could also have your kiddos help you put them in alphabetical order, or in order from tallest to smallest on a “Winter Wonderland Wall”.
The Common Core “Grinch” Police, will be happy to see that you’re practicing name recognition, writing, upper and lowercase letters, size sorting, alphabetizing, plus counting.
For more math practice graph number of letters in their names, or how many vowels in each, or figure out a grand total of how many letters in your entire class.
