Super Silly Sentences; Subjects and Predicates

All Freebies

Teaching sentence structure just got super silly! Check out how to introduce the subject and predicate of a sentence in an engaging and interactive way.
This is a fun whole class activity for introducing the subject and predicate of a sentence. Students are given strips of paper that have either a subject or a predicate.  Students can mingle to find a partner who has a sentence part that will
go with their part. Students with subject cards find a student with a predicate
card. Then they both write the complete sentence on their recording sheet. The
sentence may be a little silly, but it must make sense.
Great fun and a very engaging way to practice sentence parts.
