I place a hands-on activity on one of our classroom pocket charts. It’s usually an activity for early-finishers. The children in our class know that the pocket chart activity is one they can choose to do when they have finished other assignments.
With Valentine’s Day coming soon, I’m going to put these Valentine’s Day Addition Fact cards on a pocket chart this coming week.
The students place their recording sheets on a clipboard and sit on the floor in front of the pocket chart to solve the problems.
They especially enjoy using clipboards, so it’s an engaging and fun way for them to practice their addition facts.

Enjoy your pre-Valentine’s Day week!
