Play to Learn: Odd One Out Place Value

Just in case you don’t know about Odd One Out, I give a group of 3-4 students a half sheet like the one pictured above.  Students have to decide which number they would leave out of the set.  They justify it using mathematical language.

I usually attach this sheet to a piece of notebook paper so students can record their thinking.
