While it is still a little early to start carving the pumpkins quite yet, it’s just the right season to use these fun pumpkin cards to practice describing skills.
Kids who have language disorders often don’t have the full, rich vocabulary of their peers and which they need to be successful in the academic setting. So I always spent a lot of time working on describing and defining skills in speech-language therapy.
Here is a fun set of cards with an assortment of funny and scary Jack O’Lantern pictures on them. Use them to play any type of card game (Go Fish-type, Memory-type, or Old Maid-type games), so kids have fun while working on their vocabularies.
Have a ghoulishly good time, and…. Keep on Talking!
