Long I Spelling Pattern Vocabulary Packet

All Freebies

Free long I spelling and vocabulary packet to help students learn about the patterns that make the long I sound and understand specific long I words. Free resource from Raki's Rad Resources.
Teaching spelling without understanding the meaning of the vocabulary words is senseless. That’s why I don’t teach a list of spelling words. Instead, I use vocabulary packets like this Long I Spelling Packet. The students spend all week working on understanding the patterns that make the long I sound. Then at the end of the week, I test their understanding by asking them to recognize and correct mispelled words in sentences. This assessment promotes real life editing skills over memorization. Download all four levels of this differentiated Long I Spelling and Vocabulary Packet from my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
