It’s happened more times than I can count. We’re halfway through the school year. All of the students are in a groove. Then I get a new student who speaks little to no English. How do I get this student to integrate into my classroom? For me, step one is to help them to help themselves by teaching them the names of the items around them. This Back to School English Language Learner Vocabulary Packet is my go to resource to help these students. We start with level one and make sure that they take the time to connect these important school supply words with the words they already know in their own language. This helps them to remember these all important words as we build their English vocabulary slowly. Download this free resource from my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
