Susan Berkowitz’s Free I Can Be a Friend Posters

All Freebies

As all of the divisiveness in the country tries to heal itself, we are also trying to help bring our students together as friends who support one another, no matter what.

#kindnessnation

The concepts of friendship – and what makes a good friend – can be elusive for many students in special education, especially those who struggle the most with social correctness and knowing what to say or do, as well as those whose communication skills are limited.

I made this set of posters to act both as visual cues in your room, to remind students what they can do and how they should behave, and as discussion point to start a dialogue with concrete examples.

Hang them up in your classroom, or print them 4 per page  and give each student a copy.  Help them to be a part of #kindnessnation.
