I love word walls in my classroom for a variety of reasons. First, it provides my students a way to look back at the vocabulary we are using in the classroom as a reference for writing or even spelling. Second, it allows them to hopefully make connections between their learning across the curriculum. For example, if we see the word adaptation on the word wall we can see how it was used in history when colonists adapted to living in Jamestown and how a butterfly adapts to its environment in science. These word wall spinners I created allows me to add an extra component to our learning and students can use these spinners to make our word walls even more interactive.
