Like most teachers, I prepare a handout for the families in my new class each year. It contains my contact information, class schedule, dress code dos and don’ts, class expectations, study tips and tricks, that kind of thing. There are many options for creating a handout. I’ve seen tri-fold brochures, foldover flip books, flipbooks with tabs, or even a simple handout on 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper.
This year, I folded mini pocket folders and assembled paper inserts in cascading sizes with all of my class information. You can see each heading in the different pieces of paper in the folders, and all of the information is stored in one place for parents and caregivers.
You can create your own using an editable PowerPoint template in THIS BLOG POST.
I hope everyone enjoys back to school!
