A name map is a nice icebreaker for the first week of
school; it’s such an interesting and fun way to get to know your
students and build community, that you can plug it in any time during
the year as well.
The completed activity makes a wonderful bulletin board too!
Do a personal one of yourself, so that you have a sample to show your
students to explain what you want them to do, as well as a means for
them to get to know their new teacher.
I’ve included an explanatory note home to families.
