I like brag tags. They are kind of neat. But, I wanted a bit more. I mean, I guess I’m more about a challenge. I look at things all the time on TV or in magazines and I think to myself, “I like that, but how can I make it more academic?”
So I thought long and hard about that when I saw brag tags.
I then came up with an idea.
If you were ever a girl scout or boy scout, you may remember that you had to complete a certain number of activities in order to earn your “camping” badge or “fire-starter” badge. Well, that’s what I did.
Yes, I created brag tags that students have to complete a certain number of activities to earn them. In order for students to earn the “artist brag tag” they have to complete a certain number of academic activities related to art. (The teacher decides the number). In order to earn the “reading brag tag” the student has to complete a certain number of academic activities related to reading.
Oh, how fun!
