For fall, my Young 5s enjoy studying all about apples and then pumpkins.
To help reinforce the information my students have learned, we do a Venn diagram.
Venn diagrams are a quick, easy and fun way to introduce comparison & contrast writing to your students.
Children can work on this individually, or pick a partner and put one together.
For preschool kiddos, do this as a whole-group activity by putting the Venn diagram on the board and filling in your students’ answers.
These make a nice culminating activity at the end of your apple-pumpkin studies, to once again review all the things they learned.
Completed projects make an awesome autumn bulletin board too.
For your convenience, I’ve also included a completed sample.
