Who doesn’t love hidden picture puzzles? As a kid I loved looking for the hidden pictures in the magazines in the doctor’s office waiting room. Not only are puzzles fun, but they have amazing cognitive benefits as well!
These puzzles help with object constancy – the ability to recognize the properties of an object and understand that even if it changes size or direction, it is still the same object. Finding hidden pictures is also great for visual discrimination skills – the ability to see how objects are the same and different.
I have loved creating these fun and educational puzzle activities for my own kids to use, and I’m glad to share some with you too!
In this free pack I’ve included 5 different activities so you are sure to find something for your students! Some are Look & Find pages, perfect for pre-readers, where students find the matching picture among the objects, and others are Read & Find that have the students read the word and find a matching picture.
⭐ Look & Find Alphabet – Aa
⭐ Look & Find Colors – Red
⭐ Look & Find Shapes – Triangles
⭐ Read & Find CVC – Short a words
⭐ Read & Find – Summer Words
These are really great center activities and you can even laminate them and have students use white board markers to save paper if you want!
