Reading is my favorite subject to teach! I love watching my students grow through the year. My kiddos read independently every day, and I don’t always get to conference with all of them! I have started having my students keep short in-class reading log helps to hold my students accountable, plus I can keep tabs on what they are reading and how well they are “getting” certain skills! They LOVE seeing all of their reading and thinking on paper! It gives them such a sense of accomplishment. They also enjoy taking them home to show their families all of the great reading and thinking that they are doing at home!

This is a fun reading log and challenge that your students can use to keep track of their reading time!
I also LOVE Reading Challenges! I love trying out new authors and genres, and I wanted to pass that fun onto my students! This challenge will help your students try new kinds of texts, such as non-fiction, poetry, and even recipes!
