The Brag Tags that Rule

3-5· All Freebies

What if you could have it all?  You know, classroom management – where students hung on your every word and completed directions immediately – and were academically successful, learning everything they needed without any issues?  Well, now it can be done, and it can be done with the brag tags that rule!

My brag tags are unique and are not like other types of brag tags that you find anywhere.  In fact, you won’t find any brag tags like mine!

There are no brag tags out there like this set. Check out this freebie to see what makes this brag tag not only perfect for classroom management but wonderful for academic success too!

What Makes These Brag Tags Unique

My brag tags are unique in that they are not only perfect for classroom management, but they are also wonderful for creating success academically.  What that means is, in order for students to actually get the brag tag, they have to earn it by completing a choice board like activity related to particular subject area or concept.

In the past, I have used brag tags.  It was an effective management technique – but only for some.  For others, they didn’t care as much.  To me it seemed that often, the same kiddos were the ones earning the tags over and over and over.  I knew it.  They knew it. We all knew it.  And if we were handing out tags that were holiday related so everyone received one, well, “You aren’t fooling anyone.  Those are pity tags!” as I was once told.  No one wants pity tags.  No one.

I know, every teacher and classroom management system is different.  But I still wanted to have some differences so that I was including everyone in my class.  So I decided to create my brag tags with more of an academic spin – students complete a series of choices related to the brag tag theme and the concept being taught in the classroom.  Once the student completes the choices to the teacher’s satisfaction, the student has earned the tag.

This is a win-win because ALL students can earn the tag without it being a “pity” tag and they are learning, behaving, and being successful!  Two birds with one stone!  (Actually more like 20+.)

You’ve got to see just how these brag tags work and what they look like.  You can read all about the benefits they bring to your classroom, along with all the other fantastic details on my blog post, An Exciting New Way to Look at Brag Tags.  While you’re there, download the Freebie to get started!
