Moon Phases with Oreos, Oh My!

PK-2

Moon Phases can be a little confusing at times. Have you ever looked at the moon and wondered when the full moon was going to be? I bet if you are a teacher of little children, you definitely know when the full moon is out! You don’t even need to be able to see the moon!

Well, learning about the moon can be a little easier with this fun Oreo cookie activity. Before I do this activity though, I have the kids ‘map’ out the phases before actually getting out the Oreos. We drew ours on black paper with white crayons. Click here to read more about what we did in my 2nd grade class.
