AutoDraw Google Drawing with Artificial Intelligence

3-5· PK-2

Google recently launched this drawing tool that pairs machine learning with drawings from artists to help students create images quickly. It is really simple to use and fun for all ages.

“Machine learning is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that provides computers with the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed. Machine learning focuses on the development of computer programs that can change when exposed to new data.” (http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/machine-learning)

This video shows you how to use AutoDraw and access its features. As you begin to draw your picture, Google will guess what you are trying to draw. It will offer suggestions above your drawing that you can click on to add an image to your page. Afterwards, you can change the fill color of the object, add other freehand drawing features and text. Have fun trying it out with your students!
