Do you want your students to have a positive self-esteem and self-image?
We practice growth mindset in my classroom and part of that is celebrating the great things about ourselves.
One of the activities we do regularly is to record the things we think we are doing great at and the ways we are wonderful. We do this on “Wonderfully Positive” self-esteem worksheets.
How I store the pages to enable reflection.
We keep the self-esteem worksheets in a folder or binder and then I give students a chance to look back on them later. They really like reading about how they thought of themselves on a particular month.
If students want to take a copy home I photocopy their pages so they can share their thinking with family members.
How else are these pages used?
I have also seen these used with special needs / counselling students outside of the classroom. They are a useful activity to help students at risk or those struggling with seeing themselves in a positive light.
I would love to hear if you are using the self-esteem worksheets in a different way so I can share it with other educators. Just leave a comment below.
