You probably won’t believe that during my first year of teaching I had a police officer come to my classroom. Shocking I know. Because he was there to see me!
I know, I know, you’re asking yourself what horrible thing I did wrong. Well, it’s not like I snapped burned up all my lesson plans, but I did make a big mistake. It also had to do with fire.

One of my first graders burned down a bunch of hay bales. I tried, but didn’t get in contact with the parents. Since it was my first year of teaching and I was crazzzzy busy, I kind of forgot about it. Shocking I know!
The police finally showed up in my classroom to talk to me and my principal was furious that I had let it slide.
How to improve parent communication?
