A name tag glyph is a great getting-to-know-you activity for the first day or first week of school.
A glyph is a picture or symbol that gives information. Name glyphs are great for elementary aged students and I have even used them successfully with high school ESL students.
What you need: paper (card stock works best but is not necessary), markers and crayons and the resource you can download below.
How to use: Students fill out the questionnaire below. There is place to practice. Then students will follow the directions to complete their name tags.
As a follow up activity, students can introduce each other using the information from the glyph.
I hope you enjoy this activity! If you would like to lean more or make your own glyph, please check out my blog post here!
Thank you for looking!
