DIY Make Your Own Hand Clock

3-5· All Freebies· PK-2

Have you ever had students get frustrated or confused when they had to figure out time on analog clock? If so, this DIY make your own hand clock is for you. It helps children to see the five minute intervals and this is a big step in understanding how to count by fives around the clock until you get to 60.

You can make your own hand clock with the templates in this product. This DIY hand clock is great for teaching the concept of five minute intervals. It is visual and the kids love to use it because they made it. #DIYclock #fiveminuteintervals #makeyourownhandclock

Reasons For Using A Hand Clock

Telling time is a difficult concept for many children. It confuses them to see the numbers 1 to 12 and they often don’t realize that those numbers are for the hour and the spaces in between indicate the minutes. They mix up the hours and minutes as well. The hands help them to see that there are five minute intervals.
