Free Pumpkin Poem Template

3-5· All Freebies· PK-2

Nothing says it’s fall like PUMPKINS! How about adding in a little grammar and poetry practice with those pumpkins and you’ve got yourself the perfect fall activity! Students will fill in all the blanks on the free pumpkin poem template with adjectives that could describe a pumpkin. Each student will end up with a poem of their very own!

This download comes in a printable version and also a digital version in Google Slides™.  It can easily be assigned in Google Classroom™.

Visit my blog to download the FREE PUMPKIN POEM TEMPLATE.

For an extension activity, have students observe several types of pumpkins and use their senses to discover some adjectives they could use in their poems. You can even just find some pictures online and look up more unique types of pumpkins that many people don’t even know exist! I love watching young writers be so proud of themselves as they write their own poems. They are usually very eager to read them aloud and share.
