Susan Berkowitz’s Free Spring Language Game for Speech Therapy

All Freebies

Students in speech-language therapy like to play games. It makes them feel a little less like they’re working.  And who can blame them for wanting that?  We are, after all, making them work on what is likely the hardest of skills for them.
I’ve made a fair number of my own games over the years, in addition to those commercially available.  One I have for Spring is called Bunny Hop through Language, and includes practice for categorization (name members, exclusion, name category), opposites, Wh- questions (who, what doing, when, where), sentence repetition, same/different, What am I? listen to descriptions, and following directions.

The full, priced game has 132 cards, color coded so you can target each specific student’s goals.  I have a free sample, which includes 36 cards and a shorter game board, so you can try it and see if it is a good fit for your students.
